Place and Health Equity: Building Stronger Communities for Better Health

Conference Goals:
- Unveil new research on the relationship between place and health, particularly as it pertains to people of color and health equity
- Highlight the Joint Center's PLACE MATTERS (PM) initiative and the work of PM teams to address community conditions that shape health
- Convene national leaders, including members of Congress and federal health agency officials, to bring attention to community conditions that shape health and discuss policy solutions
- Explore framing and messaging regarding the importance of place, race, and health equity
