Montgomery County’s Department of Health and Human Services convened a panel of national experts on June 29th and 30th, during the inaugural meeting of the “Kitchen Cabinet.” The meeting was attended by national advisors, senior leadership, and various stakeholders from the department and the community. The “Kitchen Cabinet’s” charge is to assist the county in defining the mission, components, and next steps necessary to promote equity and social justice while improving organizational capacity to serve health and human service clients. The Cabinet will convene 3-4 four times over the next year.
