CommonHealth ACTION President Natalie S. Burke serves as a subject
matter expert on the YMCA of the USA Health Equity Advisory Panel

This national body had its inaugural convening in Washington, DC.  The two-day meeting convened health equity leaders to gain a shared understanding of the Ys context & aspirations regarding Health Equity (HE); lessons and insights from other leading experts and efforts engaging communities around HE; discover the Y’s unique contribution to advancing HE; begin to frame a strategic approach for effectively addressing HE on multiple levels – focusing on support for local Y’s and their respective communities; clarify next steps in the process, and identify the best role for the Health Equity Advisory Panel moving forward.
