Nehanda A.M. Lindsey, MS, MIB, CMP

Ms. Lindsey holds Master’s Degrees in International Business as well as Information Design and Communications. These accomplishments allow her to support projects and clients in several capacities, including through the use of interactive video, web based tools, and serving in the role of diarist to document group processes and progress.  In 2005 and 2006 she helped to capture the thoughts and feelings of children and youth in New Orleans via video, to inform the New Orleans Children’s Consortium.  In addition to her work in these areas, Ms. Lindsey is a trained writer and editor who provides technical support to several national organizations, including the National Black Caucus of State Legislators and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for the development and production of newsletters and social marketing materials.

A certified meeting professional with over 13 years experience in the event management and hospitality industry, Ms. Lindsey has supported and managed events ranging in size from 50 to 3,000+ participants.  She has played an integral role in planning major conferences for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, including the National Prevention and Health Promotion Conference, annual Chronic Disease Prevention and Control Conference, the Annual Health Education and Health Promotion Conference, Immunization Registry and National Immunization Conferences, ORC Review panels, Block Grants Coordinators’ Workshop, as well as the DASH Conferences on Preventing HIV Among Youth, and Annual National School Health Leadership Conferences.  She has also managed meetings for the National Association of County and City Health Officials, Georgia Department of Human Service, Georgia Department of Natural Resources, the Health Resources Services Administration, and the US Department of Education. 

In addition to managing conference logistics, Ms. Lindsey also contributed to the success of those events in areas such as project management, research and writing, evaluation, budget management, contract negotiation, event identity design, marketing/meeting materials development and production, and database design and reporting.  Nehanda is an active member of the Society for Government Meeting Planners (SGMP), where she has serves as the Communications Co-Chair and Co-Editor for the Atlanta Chapter’s newsletter, Peach Beat
