Equity and Social Justice Workgroup

CommonHealth ACTION is working with the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services (MCDHHS) to support the development of an equity initiative within the county. We are assisting MCDHHS with issue framing, goal setting, and messaging in support of the department’s existing and emerging work on disparities, disproportionality, and equity; providing guidance and education to key staff to support a sustainable equity effort; and gathering qualitative data regarding perceptions, knowledge, attitudes, and experiences related to equity via key informant interviews with MCDHHS staff and partners. CommonHealth ACTION will develop recommendations for next steps for development of a comprehensive equity plan. CommonHealth ACTION has extensive knowledge of county government equity work.
