Karen Dale, RN, MSN, CS

As Vice President of Program Management for Volunteers of America (VOA), Ms. Dale provides strategic leadership and direction to the organization's services, research and evaluation, health care and housing operations, international services, and housing and real estate development divisions. Her 18 years of healthcare experience include program development, financial performance improvement, service delivery/clinical, Medicaid managed care, data reporting and system enhancement, performance measures, government relations and external affairs.

Prior to her tenure at VOA, Ms. Dale served as the president and CEO of a hospital system owned by Doctors Community Healthcare Corporation. She also served as chief operating officer of the D.C. Chartered Health Plan, Inc.; as vice president of strategy and development of FHC Health Systems; and as the senior deputy for quality, planning and external affairs for the District of Columbia Department of Health.

Ms. Dale holds a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from George Mason University and a Master of Science degree in psychiatric and mental health nursing from Catholic University. She is a 2003 Leadership Washington graduate.
