IPHi Collaborates with DC Primary Care Coalition
to Launch Community Health Worker Network

IPHi and the DC Primary Care Coalition partnered to convene the first meeting of the emerging DC Community Health Worker Professional Network. Over 20 Community Health Workers (CHWs) enthusiastically convened on July 20 to discuss the prospect of forming a network of new and incumbent CHWs in the District of Columbia to continue professional development, enhance opportunities for resource sharing and peer-to-peer support, and strengthen CHW advocacy skills. Once established, the Network promises to give voice to a system for sustainable CHW employment in Washington, DC.
